Pre-Sales Solution Engineer – Cyber Security

Job Description:

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer with expertise in cyber security to join our growing team! Reporting to our Chief Customer Officer, this role will help potential clients understand their unique needs and work cross functionally to develop a solution to meet those needs. The successful candidate will spend most of their time educating potential clients on ISG’s products and services using their in-depth product knowledge, exceptional communication skills and outstanding presentation abilities. While this role will interact with a variety of security experts within F1000 accounts, the successful candidate will primarily engage with security executives across a variety of industries to support long-term partnerships and company revenue goals.  

Job Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Lead discovery meetings to align potential client needs, goals and objectives to ISG solutions
  • Develop and deliver demos and presentations that are clear, engaging and sparks interest
  • Create customized demos and trial environments for clients
  • Support the sales process by acting as an ISG expert for all products and services
  • Assist sellers in qualifying opportunities and account planning to close business
  • Support completion of proposals, RFx responses, technology evaluations and vendor compliance questionnaires
  • Support seller and deal desk in closing contracts to expediate the procurement process
  • Meet assigned individual and team targets for assigned territory/region
  • Transition accounts and communicate business requirements to implementation team
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to new team members
  • Actively share market insights and client feedback to the appropriate internal departments
  • Work across various time zones to support business needs
  • Able to work within a distributed team and travel as required (up to 25%)

Minimum Qualifications (Who You Are)  

  • College Diploma or University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent  
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer or related role supporting large accounts, ideally within F1000.
  • Excellent understanding of cyber security (risk, cryptography, PKI, X.509 certificates, etc)
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise ecosystem and technologies (Cloud, EDR, DevOps, Identity Management, etc)
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to speak with confidence to a variety of audiences
  • Organized and analytical, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiar with various operating systems (i.e. Windows/Linux)
  • Familiar with scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell, bash, etc)
  • A team player who performs well independently 
  • Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience, when needed
  • Able to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with technical champions
  • Tech savvy and comfortable learning new technologies
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Nice To Have Skills:

  • Experience working with data security solutions is a plus
